I think a Super brand is;
When something revolutionary turns the industry on its head and the brand is embraced by its audience
The Digital Channel have spent the last 5 years working to this principle and in 2009 it will launch not only one potential super brand but three!!!!
The Digital Channel is a next generation Digital Media Company.
We blend Publishing, Broadcasting and Digital Media across the digital channels of online, mobile and digital tv to create a reach and connectivity with its audience second to none.
Our business Modelling is based on maximising and exploiting exploding industries across the digital space through smart business processes and communication campaigns.
Each of our brands have been positioned on an extensive understanding of its industry and peers, ensuring minimum friction while obtaining market share.
Our companies ethics, principles and goals are based on old fashioned values with forward thinking which while to not everyone’s taste ensures only strong relationships are formed. Basically if are principles and values are not shared by our partner we wouldn’t see any value in a partnership!!
The structure of The Digital Channel is based on a collaboration of resource pooling which calls on its network to support the growth of the group, its brands and the success of the companies in the network.
I must stress that while our consumer brands are designed around mass market appeal, our company and network structure is based on quality partnerships over volume.
Put simply, The Digital Channel knows it’s strengths, more importantly accepts its weaknesses and fills those gaps with partners who can turn them into a group strength.
As a company we have made rapid strides over the last 6 months and are building a strong management team which can achieve our strategy and targets.
2009 will be an important year for The Digital Channel and look to the future to give us the strength to keep plugging away, however the fact of the matter is, we have done this the hard way, have thrown everything at it to get it to this stage and at the moment are living hand to mouth to get the next stage.
We are going through a company restructure to allow us to generate the leverage we require to compete in this industry, which includes an aggressive growth and acquisition strategy including a reverse buy-in which would create liquidity for the company over the next 3-5 years.
However this has been a long and painful process which is quite complete, many times I wished for a rich father.....
Why, am I telling you this….
Because, It is my task as interim MD of The Digital Channel to give the company the best chance of success, and to achieve that we must start to generate revenue and maximise our opportunities to allow us to not only consolidate our position but push on with our plan.
It is very easy to come to a site like this an present the positives in your company, however it is what your not told which effects relationships, both myself and my company are prepared to present a warts and all approach, to not only help our own development but also how we contribute to a group like WGE.
