Hello to everybody in the group.
After having worked in software development both for medical management and research application, I guess its time for me to try do what i always wanted to do : create games.
What can i do :
My background in electhronics engeneering allows me to go deeply into almost any scientific topic, both in research and in applied fields.
I spent a lot of time writing mostly 3d application under opengl, most of all visibility and navigation data structures and 3d optimization tools.
Some of the research i did in the 3d field include:
Bsp trees , kdtrees , octrees, quadtrees, regular grid decompostions ( monotonic data structures ) , mesh decomposition and optimisation , 3d spatial sorting ,2d and 3d physics engines , convex decompostions , 2d triangulations , and voronoi diagram generators ( the latter for academic purposes )
Right now in this very moment i am refactoring my engine to work with shader and with next gen features.
Some of my programming works can be found at http://www.binpress.com/ where i am a developer since many months now, just look for code under my name in the c/c++ category.
My graduation theses was about AI:
A recommender system for assisted navigation , basically a chrome-like browser which suggest you interesting sites based on navigation history.
I am mostly proficient in :
C/c++ , java , opengl.
I don't have any problem to learn a new API or a new language whatsoever.
What i am looking for :
I'd like to work on 3d game development, i can work remotely and i can also consider to relocate if necessary.
Right now in this point of my life i cannot accept volunteer work or , "we are going to pay when we are going to hit it big", i have already been trhough.

On-line Community Manager is looking for job in the game industry
Dear Group,
After working in marketing for many years, I have taken a look at my future and found the core of what I want to work with for the rest of my life. My philosophy has always been that you are never too old and that it is never too late. So it's about time for me to kick myself...
What I can offer your company
* I primarily work with the forum platform 'Xenforo'. Other platforms can be considered, but XenForo is what I know best.
Especially for games
Background
It's never easy when you want to combine an interest with a job position - particularly in Denmark, which is a relatively small country game-wise. Therefore I have worked extensively on-line for years in my spare time creating various forums, working with communities and doing graphics work like banners, ads, etc. to get closer to my goal.
My contacts are scattered across the world and I communicate mostly in English. Seven years ago I met my boyfriend in an online mult-iplayer game – and he moved from Holland to Denmark 4.5 years ago. We bought a house together and got married. Today we install, style and administrate forums together in our spare time, and have a freelance business with IT solutions and graphics.
But I want more than that. For four years I hoped to find the job that allows me to combine my graphic skills with my interest in games, on-line work and the gaming community. And I almost managed.
I am in the fortunate position that I have been asked whether I want a job as Community Manager for an online game after New Year (on a part-time contract) - and I immediately said yes, as it is perfectly in line with my future plans. The company has offices in Thailand and the U.S., and although there were questions about my physical location (Denmark), everything is “close” enough through the Internet.
Skype, private forum sections and normal email correspondence serves as a virtual office-space. And it is possible that I have to travel a few times a year - but my base is at home in my own little office and that ensures stability for me and my daughters, who go to school, and who have their life and friends in Denmark. In addition I am working on creating and styling a game forum for the same company, which I will also administrate.
But despite this, the job is only on a part time basis and it is agreed that I do it next to my full time job as Marketing Manager in a large hotel company in Denmark to sure I have a 'normal' income.
My hope is to have several small jobs like this, to be able to follow my dream to work more independently at home with the things I love.
What I'm looking for
I am mainly looking for jobs on contracts – either freelance jobs based on an hourly payment (60 USD / 42,5 EURO / 325 DKK per hour) or a fixed monthly salary (where hours and price can be discussed).
As a person I am committed to my work, passionated, innovative & creative. I make sure that deadlines are met, get along with all types of people, love a good sense of humor – and it’s an honor for me to deliver a great result and a high level of quality.

Other things I have created/am working with:
www.entropiaplanets.com (Community game forum where I created all styles - you can choose more in the style chooser in the bottom - a lot of the interviews, all banners, community in game and forum events etc. I administrate/moderate/update the forum with my husband)
www.entropiatimes.com (Online/printed game-magazine - layouts, ideas for interviews, articles, all graphic work)
www.afterworldforum.com (Community game forum - created all)
www.thatgameforum.com (Community game dev forum - created all)
www.eyesonastick.com (Forum development offers made in Wordpress - created all)
www.schmitzit.com (IT & Graphics - under constructions - created all graphics/layouts in wordpress + forum styles)
On top of this I create styles for Xenforo, and my latest creation can be seen on my new test-forum: www.mindfarts.com or in the forum section on SchmitzIT.com site.
