About Me:: Dean Rubin is the Executive Director of Hotel Operations at the Avi Resort & Casino in Laughlin, NV, where he has worked since 2004. Mr. Rubin has 16 years of experience in the hospitality and gaming industries. Previously, he has served as a General Manager for The Congress Plaza Hotel & Convention Center and Balmoral Racing Club in Chicago. He has been a Guest Lecturer at a university in Switzerland where he educated students on the hospitality industry. He has also lectured students at the College of DuPage in Illinois and was an instructor at Columbia College in Chicago, Illinois. He has expertise in public relations and increasing revenues and service levels in all areas of the hospitality and gaming operations while minimizing costs.
