About Me:: Fred Skoler is a games production expert and business executive with two decades of experience in the interactive games business. He is the co-founder & president of Global Mind Games located in Belmont, MA where he creates social games that provoke debate and inspire real world change. GMG’s inaugural game is Global Innovation Game (GiG), played on the Facebook platform and accessed through mobile. GiG is being developed as the official online game of Global Entrepreneurship Week.

Fred joined Whatif Productions, also headquartered in Belmont, in 1998 and served as its chief operating officer and president of production. Notably, Fred led the production of GeoCommander (GMTS) – the winner of the 2008 Serious Games Showcase and Challenge: Best Government Game.

Prior to joining Whatif, Fred was one of the founding members of MGM Interactive where he was responsible for the production, creative development and release of high-profile games and online experiences that included multiple award-winning titles.

Fred started in the technology industry as director of operations for Robert Abel’s Synapse Technologies in 1991 during development of Columbus, Evolution Revolution and other breakthrough interactive digital content.
