About Me:: The Video Gamers League (VGL) founded by Jeff Gross in 1999 is the first gaming league for console players. The first VGL event was held November 20-21, 1999 and featured tournaments for Playstation, Nintendo 64 and Dreamcast. Since its inception, VGL has executed over 100 tournaments across the United States. Major tournaments include McDondald's Midnight Gaming Championship, Best Buy Electronic Gaming Championship, CPL Winter Event 2006 and CPL Summer Event 2007.
