About Me:
Justin Thouin is a dynamic Senior Executive with Corporate Officer level experience at two prominent entertainment and technology organizations. He currently provides Executive Consulting to companies in the areas of Leadership, Strategic Planning, Operations, Product Management, Licensing, and Business Development. Justin has demonstrated a consistent track record of driving superior top and bottom line growth, cultivating new sales channels, establishing profitable strategic partnerships, creating disruptive product innovation, building brand equity, and demonstrating charismatic leadership.

As Principal at Justin Thouin Consulting, his past and current client roster includes Virgin Gaming, Farber Financial Group, and other organizations ranging in size from $1 million to $200 million per year in annual revenues within the industries of Online Gaming, Digital Advertising, Social Media, Search Engine Optimization, and Consumer Goods. In his work with the Farber Financial Group, Justin’s focus has been on maximizing the value of businesses in the face of strategic, operational, industry or management challenges to ensure sustainable and profitable growth.

Justin recently completed a long term consulting engagement as Chief Operating Officer of Virgin Gaming. Launched in June 2010, Virgin Gaming is the premier online destination for competitive console gamers to meet, challenge and play in head-to-head and tournament challenges for cash, points and prizes. In this role Justin managed the day-to-day operations of the organization, including leadership of the Product Management, Development, Operations, Customer Support, Project Management, and Legal functions. Justin built an effective organizational structure to ensure that all company activity supports overarching strategic, revenue, and profitability goals while lowering costs through optimization of people, processes, and technology. He also established and executed plans for short, medium, and long range horizons both at a corporate level and by department. Most notably, Justin led the negotiations that saw Virgin Gaming become the official online tournament partner of EA SPORTS.

Prior to Virgin Gaming, Justin served as Vice President of Product Management and Business Development at Cryptologic. Founded in 1995, and a pioneer in what is now a multi-billion dollar global Internet Gaming market, Cryptologic is an award-winning, blue-chip, world-class software development company whose shares trade publicly on the London Stock Exchange, the NASDAQ and the TSX. At its peak, Cryptologic generated over $104 million per annum in revenue, over $27 million per annum in net income, and held cash of over $128 million with no debt. In this role Justin was accountable for the strategic direction of Cryptologic's internet product suites, specifically casino, poker, and back office, to ensure that the company led the market in innovation.

Justin also gained significant cross functional experience in finance, business development, and consumer marketing roles at Maple Leaf Foods, Canada’s largest publicly traded food processing company in Canada.

Hi Justin,

Its good to connect with a fellow Canadian and Queen's Alum. Perhaps we can connect to discuss an opportunity to work together. I work within the payment space(mobile/online) and I am interested to see if I can be of assistance in adding another customer and player-centric solution to your collection of games.
