Customer Care Management and MMO customers How to retain subscribers

By Mike ArnoldGodwin’s law tells us that the probability of somebody making a reference to Adolf Hitler reaches one the longer the discussion lasts. As soon as this reference is made, the thread dies. This is also called Reductio Ad Hitlerum. The law of MMOs says: the longer a game lasts the higher the probability that you lose subscribes to other games, if you do not provide either innovation – very scarce, most games are clones of clones of clones – or excellent customer care with an edge.…See More

Machine teaching / learning Microsoft Kinect and early childhood teaching:

We live in a visual world where everything is dependent on colors, movements, signals and animated characters that sell stuff or are our avatar in a virtual environment. Children at the age of 2 start realizing and perceiving their environment in that manner. To get a grasp of something they have to touch it.Another way toddlers learn, is to imitate actions they see and hear. Moreover, this time in the development of children is crucial to their later experiences and has been woefully neglected…See More

We need science games that do not suck! How? Read on!

It is because of that why most science games suck: www.physicsgames.net/ (disclaimer: I love these games and they have merit) they kill your curiosity by trying to circumvent main stream games ike Call of Duty, Gears of War and Skyrim. Why, you may ask, baffled as I am. Devs try to be good! Forget about that! Now! Discard it! Have you discarded this foolish idea? Good! You are ready: Here is my proposal: Use games…See More

Skyrim - Ein Aufruf

When reality hits you hard - a call for non-action

What is so fascinating about firing a weapon? Why do we love to kill and hunt? Why do we play games that tout this kind of action? In the wake of the turmoil that have emerged in the North African States and the pictures I witnessed and cannot eradicate from my memory, I dare ask again, do we actually need violence in our games?  The question is not that easy to answer, as most cunning questions are. If we assume that games represent reality or even pick up tendencies and behaviours that are…See More

Machine teaching Means of achieving fun lessons and good results

Most science based games are not like AAA titles. Still, there are a lot out there that are pretty slick. But, most of them try to circumvent main stream game concepts like Call of Duty, Gears of War and Skyrim. Why, you may ask?

Because most publishers think, this will not fly, will not meet our return of investment goals. You should discard that!
