About Me:: Since 1996 I manage Snowball Studios, an independent games publisher with offices in Moscow. Before the last space invasion we also had an office in Tokyo and a studio in Hobart. At the moment we have no communication with the surviving teams there, if any (we have high hopes for Hobart).

The studio has three primary labels: snowball.ru (fully dedicated to core games), troll.ru (fully dedicated to kids games) and Snowball Studios (business development, licensing & acquisition, production & co-production).

With our inhouse teams we cover licensing & acquisition; translation, casting & recordings; integration & QA; art & production; marketing, propaganda & promotion; support; and business reporting. Distribution is covered via two long-term arrangements with the biggest local partners. We also have a major secret agreement to develop extraterrestial gas supplies on Saturn.

As a publisher, we focus on intensive growth -- achieving higher revenue through better skills and new ideas. We acquire content-heavy and content-sensitive projects that require high skill levels throughout the cycle.

When looking for properties, we balance established brands with original properties that may flop or fly. Especially with core games where independent projects from smaller teams around the world present some of the most interesting opportunities. We also acquire older properties that we successfully re-launch with proper localisation and promotional strategies.

Recently we started to develop our own projects where we act as external producers. We provide funding and creative direction for the teams. We believe that our publishing expertise is as important as financial backup, and can seriously improve the commercial perspective of these projects.
