Hi all,
We at IGDA Nigeria are planning our first game event which is a game jam. We shifted the dates of our own Global Game Jam to March 26th - 29th, 2012 and we also structured it in a conference and jam style. This gives us room to expose the local game dev public to the industry.
We are currently looking for speakers for the following topics:
1 Gaming: Social, Web, Mobile, Alternate Reality – where does this all lead.
2 Video footage from Key Industry leaders
3 SOPA, PIPA and ACTA: How it affects the gaming spectrum.
4 Technical Requirements for game creation.
5 The need for video game rating – ESRB case scenario.
6 Games for change – Positive cases for games.
Topics no 4,5,6 are pretty much off the table as we have found interested speakers for this talks, but we are still looking for speakers for topics 1&3. Companies interested in showcasing their products (games or game engines) will also get an opportunity here to tap in our local market.
Please if you are interested in this event, send an email to igdanigeria@gmail.com to discuss this in detail
